To commemorate the work of Emmeline Pankhurst and the suffragette movement, the House of Commons commissioned an illustrative design which was applied to a wide range of homeware and stationery items. The colour palette of green and purple was inspired by the original ‘VOTES FOR WOMEN’ handbills and posters, while a sense of the era is conveyed through stylised silhouette portraits and decorative Serif typography.
